About Your New Job
As Quality Manager, you will take ownership of all laboratory and quality assurance activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- You will lead all sampling, testing, recording, and reporting of product quality data to ensure full compliance with production and regulatory standards.
- You will manage and develop the laboratory team, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and accountability across all quality processes.
- You will take responsibility for maintaining the ISO 9001 quality management system and driving continuous improvement across site operations.
- You will oversee equipment calibration, outsourced testing, supplier coordination, and laboratory maintenance activities.
- You will work closely with production teams to support troubleshooting, process optimisation, and resolution of technical or chemical quality issues.
- You will prepare weekly quality reports and ensure full product conformity to relevant Irish and international standards.
What Skills You Need
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or strong equivalent laboratory/quality experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in a quality or laboratory role within manufacturing or heavy industry
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems
- Experience with XRF and/or XRD analytical techniques (highly desirable)
- Proven ability to lead or supervise laboratory teams
- Strong IT skills (MS Office) and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a production environment
