Quality Engineer - 6 Month Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading medical device manufacturing organisation in Galway on an initial 6-month contract.
The role sits within a specialised production unit responsible for manufacturing components and parts that support other areas of the business. This is a project-focused Quality Engineering position, with exposure to a variety of manufacturing and capacity projects.
Projects may include New Product Introduction (NPI/NPE) activities, as well as projects involving the introduction of new equipment, production lines and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Quality Engineering support across a range of manufacturing and engineering projects.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI/NPE) projects from a quality perspective.
Provide quality input into the introduction of new equipment, production lines and processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams across Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations.
Support quality planning, risk assessment and project activities.
Assist with problem-solving, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure project and manufacturing activities align with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
Provide Quality Engineering input throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Quality Engineering role within the medical device industry.
NFQ Level 8 qualification is essential.
Experience working within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of Quality Engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
Experience supporting projects involving products, processes, equipment or capacity expansion.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
