Project Planner

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Planner to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects across residential and commercial developments.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in building construction projects, ideally involving multi-storey residential or commercial schemes. While M&E experience would be advantageous, it is not essential. Candidates from a broader construction planning background will be considered.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Project Planner or Planning Engineer role.
  • Experience planning and coordinating residential and/or commercial building projects.
  • Strong understanding of the construction lifecycle from design and procurement through to construction and handover.
  • Ability to develop, manage and monitor project programmes, identifying critical path activities and potential risks.
  • Experience producing progress reports, programme updates, and recovery plans.
  • Comfortable working closely with site teams, project managers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in planning software such as Asta PowerProject, MS Project, or similar.

Desirable

  • Experience on multi-storey building developments.
  • Knowledge of M&E, commissioning, or fit-out activities.
  • Experience undertaking delay analysis, programme reviews, or extension of time assessments.

Client Guidance

The role is not limited to M&E project planners. Candidates with planning experience across residential or commercial building construction are of particular interest. Previous applications with backgrounds primarily focused on fibre projects, utilities scheduling, or standalone work planning/co-ordination without significant building construction exposure are less aligned to the requirement.
