Project Manager – Mechanical Contractor - Up to €90,000 per annum

  • A specialist mechanical engineering contractor delivering high-quality building services and technical projects across Ireland and the UK.
  • They work on the design, installation and commissioning of HVAC, utility pipework, E&I, and decarbonisation solutions across major industrial and pharmaceutical projects.

About Your New Job

  • As Project Manager, you will lead mechanical engineering projects in the Limerick region, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Point of contact in meetings with clients and design teams, ensuring professional and solutions-oriented project management.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, manage schedules and resources, and drive compliance with technical specifications, timelines, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, direct site teams, and ensure commissioning and testing are executed to project quality plans.
  • Prepare project reports, highlight progress and risks, and coordinate mitigation actions with stakeholders.

What Skills You Need

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing large, technical projects with an M&E contractor—ideally in industrial or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, process piping, HVAC, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients, design teams, and site personnel.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with accountability and attention to detail.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
