About Your New Job as Project Architect

  • You will lead the delivery of healthcare and data centre architecture projects from early concept through to completion, creating high-quality environments.

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the technical development of these projects, ensuring full compliance with Irish Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Documents, HSE and HIQA standards, and healthcare-specific design requirements.

  • Working closely with clients, clinical stakeholders, contractors, and multidisciplinary consultant teams, you will ensure that projects are functional, safe, efficient, and delivered to a high standard.

  • The role will involve regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to healthcare and data centre design and regulatory standards.

  • You will act as a job runner, managing project programmes, budgets, consultant coordination, and stakeholder expectations while maintaining design quality and technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

What Skills You Need as Project Architect

  • You will have a minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience working as an Architect, with a strong portfolio of healthcare and data centre projects, including acute hospitals, primary care centres, clinical facilities, medical fit-outs, and data centres.

  • You will possess excellent technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of Irish Building Regulations, HSE guidance, HIQA standards, infection prevention and control principles, universal design, and healthcare planning requirements.

  • Additionally, you should be well-versed in data centre design standards and best practices.

  • You will have proven experience managing projects through the construction stage, carrying out site inspections, coordinating consultants on site, and resolving complex technical and compliance-related issues.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, with the ability to manage clients, collaborate effectively with medical professionals, and work confidently within multidisciplinary design teams.

  • You will be familiar with local authority processes, HSE procedures, healthcare approval pathways, and regulatory compliance requirements within the Irish healthcare sector, as well as the specific regulatory and technical requirements for data centre projects.

What’s on Offer

  • You will receive a competitive salary package, with remuneration depending on experience in the range of €70,000 to €80,000.
  • The role comes with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance.
  • There are strong opportunities for ongoing professional development and clear career progression within the practice.
  • You will work on high-profile, meaningful healthcare projects with a well-established and respected architectural firm.
