About Your New Job

  • Lead the delivery of education and healthcare architecture projects from early concept through to completion, creating high-quality, sustainable environments for learning and care.
  • Oversee the technical development of projects, ensuring full compliance with Irish Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Documents, and sector-specific standards.
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary consultant teams to ensure projects are functional, safe, efficient, and delivered to a high standard.
  • Take full responsibility for the construction phase, including regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to design and regulatory standards—working independently without the need for director-level assistance.
  • Act as a job runner, managing project programmes, budgets, consultant coordination, and stakeholder expectations while maintaining design quality and technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Respond proactively to site issues, producing and updating strong construction drawings as needed following site visits or changes.

What Skills You Need as Project Architect

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience working as an Architect, with a strong portfolio of education and/or healthcare projects.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of Irish Building Regulations and sector-specific design requirements.
  • Proven experience managing projects through the construction stage, carrying out site inspections, coordinating consultants on site, and resolving complex technical and compliance-related issues independently.
  • Ability to produce robust construction drawings and adapt documentation quickly in response to site changes.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage clients, collaborate effectively with contractors, and work confidently within multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Familiarity with local authority processes and regulatory compliance requirements within the Irish education and healthcare sectors.
  • Demonstrated initiative, independence, and technical excellence throughout all project phases.

What’s on Offer
