Job Purpose
To operate production equipment and support manufacturing processes in a food production environment, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery in line with standard operating procedures
- Ensure all products meet quality, safety, and hygiene standards
- Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of equipment
- Accurately complete production records and documentation
- Follow all food safety regulations, including HACCP and hygiene procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in accordance with GMP standards
- Assist with changeovers, line setup, and shutdown procedures
- Identify and report faults, defects, or safety concerns promptly
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
Working Hours
- 3 days per week (long shifts)
- Rotating weekly schedule:
- Week 1: Day shifts
- Week 2: Night shifts
- Flexibility required for overtime or additional shifts as needed
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow procedures and work in a regulated environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work shifts, including nights
Desirable:
- Experience in a food production environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP)
- Mechanical aptitude or experience operating machinery
