Job Purpose

To operate production equipment and support manufacturing processes in a food production environment, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production machinery in line with standard operating procedures
  • Ensure all products meet quality, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Accurately complete production records and documentation
  • Follow all food safety regulations, including HACCP and hygiene procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area in accordance with GMP standards
  • Assist with changeovers, line setup, and shutdown procedures
  • Identify and report faults, defects, or safety concerns promptly
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets

Working Hours

  • 3 days per week (long shifts)
  • Rotating weekly schedule:
    • Week 1: Day shifts
    • Week 2: Night shifts
  • Flexibility required for overtime or additional shifts as needed

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow procedures and work in a regulated environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights

Desirable:

  • Experience in a food production environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP)
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience operating machinery
