About Your New Job as a Procurement Specialist:

As the Procurement Specialist, you will:

  • Work closely with hospital departments to understand and procure material, consumable, and service requirements.
  • Place orders with suppliers, manage MRP and Re-Order points, and secure optimal cost, delivery, and service quality.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, highlighting key metrics, gaps, and actionable solutions.
  • Monitor purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and minimize excess/obsolete stock risks.
  • Manage cycle counts, annual stock takes, and update MRP/schedule parameters as needed.
  • Review and resolve invoice discrepancies, process internal requisitions, and put away incoming materials if required.
  • Identify opportunities to implement best inventory management practices such as Kanban and consignment programs.
  • Support business projects and deliver ad hoc analysis and tasks as necessary.

What Skills You Need

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a materials/procurement environment (hospital or medical device manufacturing a plus).
  • Diploma/Certificate in purchasing, materials management; APICS or working towards certification.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory, and supplier management processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
