About Your New Job
As the Pre-Construction Manager, you will take full ownership of solar PV projects from early design through to construction readiness.
- Lead and coordinate all pre-construction activities, including design, permitting, grid connection, commercial inputs, and H&S
- Manage the design development process, ensuring all designs are coordinated, risk-assessed, and progressed to construction-ready (IFC) stage
- Act as the key point of contact for internal teams, external consultants, and stakeholders, ensuring projects are aligned and delivered on time
- Oversee planning permissions, permits, and statutory requirements, ensuring all are secured ahead of construction
- Develop and manage project programmes covering design, procurement, and construction readiness
- Lead the handover into construction, ensuring delivery teams receive a complete and coordinated project package
What Skills You Need
- 5+ years’ experience in pre-construction, engineering, or project management within renewables, energy, or infrastructure projects
- Strong experience in design coordination, permitting, and project delivery to construction stage
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with project planning tools (e.g. MS Project)
