Payroll Specialist - 6 Months Contract - 44k Salary - Must Be Available Immediately

About the Role

My client is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team and take ownership of payroll for their ROI and NI stores, as well as the Brand Centre team. This is a hands on role in a fast paced environment where accuracy, organisation, and people skills really matter. You will be a key point of contact for payroll queries and play an important role in supporting employees across the business.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Running weekly and monthly payroll for ROI and NI stores and the Brand Centre team

    • Processing new starters, changes, leavers, and terminations accurately and on time using TMS

    • Checking and maintaining payroll details such as pay rates, deductions, and taxes

    • Preparing payroll reports and pulling together all payroll instructions for submission to the payroll provider

    • Reviewing payroll reports to make sure everything is accurate before payroll is finalised

    • Responding to payroll queries through the payroll inbox and supporting employees in a professional and friendly way

    • Working to strict payroll deadlines and ensuring everything is processed on time

    • Building strong relationships with store teams and internal stakeholders

    • Making sure payroll processes follow company policies, GDPR requirements, and quality standards

    • Working closely with other teams to support smooth payroll processing

    • Checking and maintaining time and attendance records

    • Supporting with ad hoc payroll tasks when needed

    What They're Looking For

    • 3 to 5 years’ experience working in payroll

    • Strong knowledge of Irish and UK payroll

    • Experience handling hourly paid payroll for ROI and NI

    • Comfortable working with high volume payrolls

    • Confident using payroll systems and software

    • Someone who takes ownership of their work and enjoys being the go to person for payroll

    • Experience with TMS and Dynamics 365 is a strong advantage

    • IPASS qualification is desirable but not essential
