Parts Store Controller

Cork City
Salary: €35,000 (depending on experience)
Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and detail-focused Store Controller to join our busy automotive team in Cork City. This role requires strong organisational ability, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of motor trade parts operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing parts ordering, stock control, supplier relationships, and supporting workshop efficiency through accurate and timely parts supply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process parts purchases and orders using the Audatex system
  • Maintain accurate system records including ETAs, deliveries, and order updates
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Receive and inspect incoming parts for accuracy, quality, and damage
  • Process returns of incorrect or defective parts and arrange supplier credits
  • Maintain accurate stock control and organise storage areas for efficient retrieval
  • Issue parts to technicians as required
  • Ensure the parts department is kept clean, organised, and compliant with Health and Safety standards
  • Support workshop operations through efficient and accurate parts management

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle parts and accessories
  • Previous experience in a parts department or motor trade environment preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective supplier relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer systems
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Physically capable of handling stock and following manual handling procedures
  • Full clean driver’s licence required
