We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join a well-established business based in South Dublin. This is a part-time position offering flexibility in how hours are worked, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to balance professional and personal commitments.

The Role
This is a broad, hands-on position where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting overall business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping on a day-to-day basis
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
  • Prepare and file VAT returns
  • Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
  • Maintain accurate financial records and produce regular financial reports
  • Support month-end processes and financial reviews
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors where required

Requirements

  • Relevant accounting qualification (e.g. IATI or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a senior bookkeeping role
  • Strong experience across AP, AR, VAT, and general finance operations
  • Exposure to payroll and financial reporting
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience using QuickBooks

Desirable

  • Experience working in the construction industry
  • Knowledge or exposure to Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT)

Salary & Benefits

  • €60,000 full-time equivalent (pro rata for 20 hours per week)
  • Flexible working hours (20 hours per week – mornings, full days, or a hybrid approach)
