Part-Time Bookkeeper – Construction Sector
Location: South Dublin (Office-Based)
Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: Circa €60,000 pro rata

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a well-established business in South Dublin on a part-time basis. This role is ideally suited to someone with prior experience in the construction industry and a strong understanding of end-to-end bookkeeping processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage daily financial transactions
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with Revenue requirements
  • Handle RCT (Relevant Contracts Tax) calculations, reporting, and compliance
  • Assist with payroll processing and general ledger maintenance
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required

Requirements:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally within the construction sector
  • Strong knowledge of VAT and RCT procedures
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
