About Your New Job
As the Operations Manager, you will:
- Take full ownership of daily warehouse operations—including receiving, storing, picking, packing, dispatching products, and managing goods in/out activities.
- Coordinate and optimize incoming deliveries, warehouse layout, stock transfer, stock records, and regular stocktakes to ensure maximum team and process efficiency.
- Work closely with the Sales & Operations Director, supporting strategic growth through hands-on management, staff scheduling, and business process improvement.
- Lead a small, motivated team, setting the standard for a positive, quality-oriented, adaptable work environment.
- Operate and maintain WMS/ERP systems, review KPIs, coordinate with the sales/office team, and support HR activities like training and development.
- Engage directly in all operations—including handling queries, inventory control, quality assurance, problem resolution, and direct participation in warehouse tasks.
What Skills You Need
- Experience: 3–5 years’ experience in warehouse/logistics management, ideally in a SME distribution environment.
- Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, manage, develop, and motivate small teams.
- Commercial: Commercial mindset, understands margins, sales cycles etc.
- Hands-On Mindset: Willingness to perform floor tasks (e.g., forklift operation, heavy lifting) as required.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong IT skills—WMS/ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel essential).
- Qualifications: Degree at Level 8.
- Personal Attributes: High engagement, resilience, adaptability, openness, physical stamina, and a strong focus on efficiency and detail.
