Operations Manager

Reporting to: Managing Director

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a successful manufacturing business in Cork.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have overall responsibility for the company's Production, Quality and Customer Service functions, with the Production Manager, Quality Manager and Customer Service Manager reporting directly to you.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving operational performance, efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction across Production, Quality and Customer Service.
• Lead and develop the Production, Quality and Customer Service Managers.
• Work closely with the MD on operational strategy and business performance.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement.
• Establish and monitor key operational KPIs.
• Ensure production schedules, quality standards and customer requirements are consistently achieved.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste and increase productivity.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration across departments.
• Support the development of a high-performance culture across the organisation.

Key Requirements

• Significant experience in a senior operations or manufacturing management role.
• Strong manufacturing background with experience managing multiple functions.
• Proven people leadership and management experience.
• Strong understanding of production, quality and operational performance.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Commercially aware with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business performance.

The Ideal Candidate

This role would suit an experienced Operations Manager, Head of Operations, Site Manager or Senior Manufacturing Manager who is ready to take ownership of a broad operational function and work closely with the Managing Director on the continued growth and performance of the business.
