About Your New Job

As the Equipment Operator, you will:

  • Support the operations team to ensure smooth and compliant plant operations.
  • Operate and maintain front-end loaders and other mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Keep work areas clean, orderly, and safe, following all safety and operational procedures.
  • Take corrective action in abnormal or emergency situations to maintain plant safety.
  • Support efficient tipping operations, monitor waste bunkers for fires, and perform routine visual waste inspections.
  • Operate various mobile equipment, including skid steer loaders, front-end loaders, and forklifts.
  • Perform and document weekly and monthly preventive maintenance, inspections, and greasing of equipment.
  • Assist other operating personnel as needed to support overall plant operations.

What Skills You Need

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience operating front-end loaders and other mobile equipment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, operating, and maintenance instructions.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
  • CSCS card for Loader/Forklift/MEWP is advantageous.
  • Your own transport is pretty essential 
  • Ability to act safely and independently in emergencies or unusual situations.
