About Your New Job
As the Equipment Operator, you will:
- Support the operations team to ensure smooth and compliant plant operations.
- Operate and maintain front-end loaders and other mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep work areas clean, orderly, and safe, following all safety and operational procedures.
- Take corrective action in abnormal or emergency situations to maintain plant safety.
- Support efficient tipping operations, monitor waste bunkers for fires, and perform routine visual waste inspections.
- Operate various mobile equipment, including skid steer loaders, front-end loaders, and forklifts.
- Perform and document weekly and monthly preventive maintenance, inspections, and greasing of equipment.
- Assist other operating personnel as needed to support overall plant operations.
What Skills You Need
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience operating front-end loaders and other mobile equipment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, operating, and maintenance instructions.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- CSCS card for Loader/Forklift/MEWP is advantageous.
- Your own transport is pretty essential
- Ability to act safely and independently in emergencies or unusual situations.
