One of Irelands leading main contractors who have a large portfolio of work in the Dublin area for the next couple of years, mainly in the residential sector with a couple of €100 million euro projects about to come on stream. They have a number of commercial, industrial and data centre projects in Ireland and abroad. They are looking to add to their Building Services Team and are appointing a MEP Lead to one of the €100 million residential projects.
About Your New Job
As the MEP Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety, are installed as per spec and programme. You will lead a team of engineers and manage sub contractors contractors.
What Skills You Need
As the building services manager, you do the following:
- Manage all phases of MEP services from planning to commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate design information, technical submittals, and utility connections.
- Liaise with design teams, subcontractors, and client-supplied trades.
- Monitor installations to ensure compliance with specs, BCAR, and H&S standards.
- Chair MEP coordination meetings and track design changes or discrepancies.
- Lead testing, commissioning, and client demonstrations of all MEP systems.
- Provide regular progress updates and reporting to the project team.
- Oversee BCAR documentation and final Safety File submissions.
