About Your New Job
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with site managers, project managers, and tradespeople to ensure the timely and successful delivery of mechanical projects. Your role will involve coordinating project activities, ensuring quality control, and managing day-to-day project operations. Your job duties will include:
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical engineering projects.
- Ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards and maintaining project documentation.
- Attending and leading internal and external meetings with stakeholders.
- Managing project variations in conjunction with the Project Manager (PM) and Quantity Surveyor (QS).
- Overseeing the work of mechanical tradespeople and subcontractors.
- Developing and implementing project action plans
What Skills & Requirements You Need
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience working in a building services role for an M&E contractor, Main Contractor, or an M&E Consultancy, as well as data centre experience.
- In-depth knowledge of building services with a particular emphasis on plumbing and HVAC.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
