About Your New Job

  • As the Automotive Approval Engineer, you will support the Head of Division and senior colleagues in evaluating product approval applications in line with EU and UNECE requirements.
  • You will ensure manufacturers meet Conformity of Production (COP) standards, maintaining full technical competence in all compliance areas.
  • You will develop national approval schemes across vehicle categories (L - 2/3 wheel vehicles & quads, M - Passenger vehicles, N - Goods carrying vehicles, O - Trailers, T - Tractors).
  • You will liaise with stakeholders to address national requirements for Approved Vehicle Body Builders and Approved Test Centres.
  • You will assess workshop compliance for Tachograph, Plating, and Road Speed Limiter requirements.

What Skills You Need

  • Honours Bachelor Degree (NFQ Level 8) in engineering or science-related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail, excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
