About Your New Job
- As the Sales and Marketing Manager, you will lead, coach, and coordinate three revenue-focused teams: field sales, trade counter, and sales support, as well as the marketing function.
- You will build a consistent, data-driven marketing engine (across digital, email, promotions, and campaigns) to increase demand and brand awareness.
- You will enhance IT and analytics capabilities: improve CRM/ERP hygiene, rollout dashboards and automation, and drive market/customer intelligence.
- You will own the overall revenue and margin plan, establishing and driving clear KPIs and accountability throughout the department.
- Collaboration with Operations and Purchasing is crucial to optimise inventory, pricing, and product availability.
- You will support and develop a team of 4 direct reports (Retail Manager, Wholesale Manager, Marketing Exec, Sales Support) and oversee a total team of 12.
What Skills You Need
• Proven experience in leading sales and marketing within a multi-channel environment (industrial/distribution sector experience is a plus).
• Outstanding IT and analytics skills – adept with CRM/ERP, reporting, and Excel/BI tools.
• Ambitious and data-driven, with proven ability to introduce new marketing competencies and lead adoption of new processes.
• Experience in build a data-driven marketing engine (across digital, email, promotions, and campaigns) to increase demand and brand awareness.
• Demonstrated track record of sustainable revenue and margin growth, alongside improving team performance.
• Excellent communicator with strong coaching, motivational, and change management skills.
• Experience managing teams; able to develop, motivate, and support both new and established staff.
• An understanding of the industrial supply sector would be an advantage.
