About Your New Job
- Run the Business Manufacturing Yield: Focus on process performance improvements and process validation.
- Design Manufacturing Processes: Create efficient production layouts, procedures, and sequences for assemblies, equipment installation, and material handling.
- Optimize Plant Layout: Design machine arrangements to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure Product Quality: Incorporate inspection and test requirements, inspect machinery performance, and initiate corrective actions to maintain high product standards.
- Develop Statistical Process Control: Implement and refine manufacturing processes using statistical techniques.
- Provide Engineering Guidance: Advise on design concepts and specifications to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all processes and procedures comply with relevant regulations.
What Skills You Need
- Level 8 or Higher Qualification: In Mechanical, Polymer, Biomedical, or related Engineering/Science discipline with hands-on working knowledge of Extrusion, Blow moulding, or Injection moulding.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Medtech/Pharma/Plastics processing environments.
- Statistical and Analytical Methods: Application of SPC, SQC, and DOE.
- Experience with DFA and Lean Sigma: Proficiency in analytical packages including Minitab.
- Manufacturing Documentation Development: Experience with MP, IP, BOM, CDP, IQ, OQ, PQ.
- Project Participation: In process improvements, material changes, automation, validation, CAPA, continuous improvement activities, training, and varied manufacturing engineering activities.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Medical Device Materials: Such as polymers (nylons, PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, Pebax, PTFE, polycarbonate, etc.).
- Knowledge of Medical Device Manufacturing Processes: Such as adhesive and thermal bonding, RF welding, tip melting, etc.
