About Your New Job

As the Maintenance Technician, you will be a key member of the site operations team, working hands-on on the production floor to keep equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and manage preventative maintenance activities, ensuring equipment downtime is minimised

  • Carry out inspections, fault-finding, and repairs on plant equipment including packaging lines and refrigeration systems

  • Coordinate external contractors for specialist maintenance and installations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to standard

  • Support production teams with technical guidance, troubleshooting, and equipment optimisation

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards (including HACCP and environmental requirements)

This is a hands-on, responsible role where your technical judgement and planning ability will directly impact plant performance.

What Skills You Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food production experience is a strong advantage)

  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems commonly used in production facilities

  • Strong troubleshooting ability, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

  • Experience coordinating outsourced maintenance contractors while maintaining site safety and uptime
