About Your New Job
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum. You will work closely with production teams and take responsibility for both preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
You will:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on food processing and packaging equipment.
  • Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Support production teams with line start-ups, equipment changeovers, and technical problem-solving.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety, hygiene, quality, and health & safety procedures.
  • Complete maintenance records, inspections, and work orders accurately.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.

What Skills You Need

  • Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical qualifications are essential for this role.
  • Previous food manufacturing experience would be beneficial.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
  • Proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance.
