The Role
Working as part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical maintenance activities primarily on a healthcare site based in North Dublin, however there will be some travel to other small locations when needed and vehicle will be provided for this.
The role will be predominantly electrical, with some general building maintenance duties required from time to time. We are looking for someone with a flexible, hands-on approach who takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine emergency lighting inspections, testing and maintenance.
- Complete Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) across the sites.
- Undertake electrical small works, including testing, inspection and certification.
- Carry out reactive electrical maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical faults across building services.
- Complete routine electrical inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure all electrical systems and equipment are operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, testing documentation and certification.
- Identify potential electrical issues and recommend appropriate remedial works.
- Travel between sites across Dublin as required, using the company-provided van.
What You Need
- Fully qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical trade qualification.
- Previous experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within commercial buildings or facilities management.
- Experience carrying out emergency lighting testing and maintenance.
- Experience with Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
- Ability to undertake electrical small works, testing and certification.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ideally based on Dublin's Northside.
