About Your New Job
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment and electrical systems operate efficiently while minimising downtime within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
In this role you will:
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production, processing, and packaging equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults across production lines
• Diagnose and repair faults on motors, drives, sensors, control panels, relays, contactors, and electrical systems
• Support production teams with machine start-ups, equipment changeovers, and day-to-day technical problem-solving
• Assist with electrical installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects across the facility
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with food safety, hygiene, quality, and health & safety standards
• Complete maintenance inspections, work orders, and maintenance documentation accurately
What Skills You Need
• Previous electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Electrical qualification / completed Electrical Apprenticeship is essential for this role
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
• Experience working with production equipment, motors, drives, and control systems
• Previous food manufacturing experience would be beneficial
• Proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance and problem-solving
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
