Machine Operative 

Location: Cork City
Salary: €17.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday
Job Type: Full-time

The Role

We are currently looking for a Machine Operative to join our team in Cork City.

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for operating machinery to cut and prepare cable to specific measurements. Full training will be provided, so previous experience in cable cutting is not essential.

The successful candidate will be reliable, practical and comfortable working in a busy production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating cable-cutting machinery safely and efficiently
  • Measuring and cutting cable accurately to required lengths
  • Preparing and handling materials for production
  • Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Following production instructions and health & safety procedures
  • Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
  • Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets
  • Reporting any machinery or production issues to the supervisor

Requirements

  • Full, clean driving licence is essential
  • Good attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse or machine operating experience is an advantage but not essential
