About Your New Role
As Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will support the financial management and administration of construction contracts. You will work alongside senior project staff to ensure costs are monitored, budgets are supported, and processes run smoothly. Main responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the preparation of tender documents, cost estimates, and bills of quantities.
- Supporting the tracking of project budgets, valuations, and cost reporting.
- Helping with contract documentation and management of variations and change orders.
- Communicating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers as directed.
- Contributing to compliance with health, safety, and quality standards on-site.
- Attending site meetings and reporting progress to senior staff.
What Skills You Need
- Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field.
- Placement or internship experience in construction or QS role advantageous.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction software.
