Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their commercial team and develop a long-term career within a leading Irish contractor.

About Your New Job

• Assist with the preparation of mechanical estimates and tender submissions for commercial, fit-out and mixed-use projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Carry out quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, pipework and associated mechanical systems.
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Support senior estimators in preparing competitive bids and cost plans.
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving proposals.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
• Support handovers to project delivery teams following successful tenders.

What Skills You Need

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience within building services, construction or engineering is desirable but not essential.
