About the Company

Our client is an established Irish electrical contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality electrical installation and commissioning projects across the commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, hospitality and public sectors.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are now looking to appoint a Junior Electrical Project Manager to join their team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Supervisor or experienced Electrical professional who is looking to take the next step into project management.

Working closely with an experienced Project Manager and wider project team, you will support the successful delivery of electrical projects, gaining responsibility across planning, coordination, commercial management, site delivery and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day management of electrical projects.
  • Assist with planning, programming and coordinating electrical works.
  • Coordinate with site teams, electricians, subcontractors, suppliers and other trades.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure works remain on programme.
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Assist with resolving technical queries and site issues.
  • Attend project and site meetings with clients, main contractors and subcontractors.
  • Assist with procurement and ensure materials and equipment are available when required.
  • Track labour, materials and project resources.
  • Assist with identifying and managing project variations.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of RAMS and HSEQ documentation.
  • Monitor the quality of electrical installations and ensure works are completed to the required standards.
  • Assist with testing, commissioning and project handover.
  • Build effective working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and internal teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline, or a strong electrical trade background.
  • Ideally 1–2 years' experience working within an electrical contracting, construction or building services environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical installations and construction projects.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Previous experience coordinating electrical works or supervising electrical teams would be highly advantageous.
  • Good understanding of project planning, site coordination and health & safety.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of project costs, variations and resources.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Full Irish driving licence.
