Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Junior Electrical Estimator to join their commercial team and develop a long-term career within a leading Irish contractor.

About Your New Job

• Assist with the preparation of electrical estimates and tender submissions.

• Review tender drawings, specifications and project documentation.

• Carry out quantity take-offs for lighting, power, containment, fire alarm and associated electrical systems.

• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Support the preparation of budgets, cost plans and tender analysis reports.

• Assist with value engineering exercises during the tender process.

• Liaise with project managers, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors.

• Maintain accurate estimating records and project documentation.

• Support project teams during tender handover and project commencement.

What Skills You Need

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Previous experience within electrical contracting, construction or engineering is desirable but not essential.

• Suitable for recent graduates or candidates with up to 2 years' experience looking to build a career in estimating.
