We are recruiting for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our growing client in Tralee. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or junior-level engineer to develop their career within a well-established electrical contractor delivering commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public-sector projects across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and delivery of electrical projects from design through to completion.
- Support Project Managers and Senior Engineers with day-to-day project activities.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Assist with electrical design, calculations, material take-offs and project documentation.
- Support site teams with technical queries and coordination.
- Assist with testing, commissioning and handover of electrical installations.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure work is completed to required quality, health & safety and project standards.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Requirements
- Degree/Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 0–2 years' experience, with graduate candidates encouraged to apply.
- Good understanding of electrical systems and engineering principles.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or BIM/MEP would be highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Previous construction, MEP or site experience is desirable.
