About Your New Job as a Junior Architectural Technologist
- Assist in the preparation of technical drawings and documentation using Revit, primarily supporting projects through planning and construction stages.
- Work closely with senior technologists, architects, and project teams to help deliver high-quality design and technical information.
- Support the development of planning applications, construction drawings, and technical packages.
- Ensure drawings and documentation align with Irish building regulations and project requirements.
- Assist with coordination between design teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Contribute to site visits and gain exposure to construction processes and project delivery.
- Help maintain accurate project records, schedules, and drawing revisions.
What Skills You Need as a Junior Architectural Technologist
- Degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline (RIAI accredited preferred).
- 1–2 years’ professional experience in an architectural practice or similar environment.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Revit (essential) and familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Understanding of Irish building regulations and construction detailing.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines with guidance.
- Interest in developing skills in BIM and technical design stages.
