Due to continued growth and increased project demands, they are now seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join their team on a busy school construction project based in the Dublin region.
About Your New Job
As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a vital role in supporting site operations by carrying out electrical installations, maintenance work, and testing across a live school construction environment. This is a key position requiring a high level of attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work closely with site management, subcontractors, and other trades on site.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Installing and terminating containment systems including tray, trunking, conduit, and basket.
- Carrying out first fix and second fix electrical installations to a high standard.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical plans.
- Installing power, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, and data systems.
- Working safely within a live school or educational construction environment.
- Coordinating daily activities with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades.
- Ensuring all electrical works are completed in line with current regulations and site specifications.
- Assisting with testing, fault finding, and commissioning where required.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area at all times.
- Adhering strictly to all site safety procedures and always wearing appropriate PPE.
- Reporting any safety concerns, defective materials, or site issues immediately to management.
- Assisting with general site duties and project support where required.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician on commercial or industrial construction sites.
- A valid Safe Pass (essential).
- Manual Handling certification (essential).
- A recognised electrical qualification/certification (essential).
- Experience working on school, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or commercial / Industrial projects is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, containment, and installation practices.
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
