The Role
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, supporting compliance initiatives, and ensuring best practice is embedded across project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and continuous improvement of HSEQ systems and procedures
- Assist with incident, near miss, and non-conformance reporting and investigations
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews across multiple projects
- Review and support Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Monitor health and safety compliance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate training requirements and maintain competency records
- Support ISO management systems, including quality, environmental, and health & safety standards
- Work closely with operational teams to promote safe systems of work
- Assist with internal audits and compliance reporting
- Contribute to company-wide health and safety initiatives and awareness campaigns
About You
You will be an organised and motivated health and safety professional with a practical approach and strong attention to detail.
Essential Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, engineering, or a related industry
- Good understanding of construction health and safety legislation
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Knowledge of ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Full UK driving licence
