HR Business Partner, 12mth Temporary Contract

About your New Employer:

Our client is a government agency based in Citywest, Co. Dublin. They are currently looking to bring on a full-time HR Business Partner on a temporary 12-month contract.

This role would be on a hybrid working model, with ability to work outside of normal working hours as needed per the requirements of the business. Also, will include travel as needed across work sites.

About Your New Role:

  • Act as the primary HR contact for designated departments, providing expert advice on employment law, HR policies, procedures and terms and conditions.
  • Partner with managers on employee relations, organisational change, workforce planning, performance management and best-practice people management.
  • Analyse workforce data and trends to support resource planning, recruitment, retention and informed management decisions.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and induction processes, ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion remain central throughout.
  • Support payroll inputs, benefits administration, probation processes and performance management activities.
  • Develop and deliver training on HR policies, procedures and relevant people-management topics.
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects and initiatives that enhance people processes, culture, systems and the employee experience.
  • Prepare HR reports, workforce insights and responses for senior leadership, the parent department and external audits.

What Skills You Need:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an HR Business Partner or relevant role
  • Third level qualification in HR at a minimum of NFQ Level 7, or equivalent
  • Experience working in Public Sector would be desirable
  • Must have experience with Industrial Relations processes and have worked in a unionised environment
  • Experience implementing change management programmes
  • Ability to influence and effectively communicate with management
  • Ability to take on research and analyse data, by producing reports and performance metrics
  • Working knowledge of Irish employment legislation
  • Proficient in HRIS and ATS systems, as well as Microsoft Office
