About Your New Job
- Implement the organization's housing management and maintenance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Tenancy Agreement terms, particularly in managing anti-social behavior.
- Prepare for and represent the organization at relevant hearings when necessary.
- Optimize rent collection across all tenancies, ensuring consistency in rent and service charge applications.
- Manage and minimize rent arrears with the support of local services staff.
- Collaborate with services and local authorities to ensure timely tenant allocation.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of units from the development team to the property operations team.
- Manage the maintenance of the property portfolio.
- Improve procurement efficiency and demonstrate value for money.
- Implement robust systems to track and report maintenance work.
- Manage property management budgets and ensure maintenance aligns with the budget.
- Supervise contractors and internal staff to ensure high-quality maintenance and repair work.
- Liaise with the internal teams on rent arrears and monitor arrears, and assist with tenant induction and support in property care and appliance use.
What Skills You Need
- Extensive experience in property/housing management.
- Ambitious, energetic, and motivated individual.
- Solutions-focused attitude.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Team player with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, trustworthy, and conducts the role with integrity.
- Professional qualification in housing.
