The organisation is seeking to appoint two suitably experienced individuals to act as Internal TCQR Holistic Assessment and Quality Assurance Officers within its Registration and Customer Relations Team. The primary purpose of the roles will be to conduct Stage 2 Holistic Assessments under the TCQR route to determine if applicants’ qualification(s) and experience meet the standards required for registration as a pharmacist in Ireland. In addition, the roles will support other strategic and operational aspects of the TCQR process, including contributing to and upholding robust quality assurance processes, identifying and actioning opportunities for improvement, and coordinating the services of the external assessors who are currently conducting these assessments on behalf of the organisation.

Essential Criteria
• Hold a relevant Level 8 qualification
• Be a qualified pharmacist with a minimum of five years post qualification experience


OR


have a minimum of five years’ academic experience in pharmacy or another regulated health
professional qualification


OR


Have sufficient direct experience in assessing health professional qualification
recognition/registration applications from a previous role.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Comprehensive written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.

Desirable Criteria
• Have experience in teaching and assessment at third level on a course of study leading to a
regulated professional qualification, OR experience mentoring/tutoring pharmacists or other
health professional students
• Experience with regulatory or professional bodies in health or pharmacy.
• Familiarity with the Irish pharmacy regulatory environment.
• Experience in quality assurance or process improvement
