About Your New Job
As the Health and Safety Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust health and safety compliance at sites located in Ennis and surrounding areas. You will:
- Lead the enforcement of health and safety practices and compliance across multiple project sites.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, implement corrective actions, and provide follow-up reports to management.
- Collaborate with site teams, project managers, subcontractors, and staff to promote proactive safety initiatives and uplift the culture of safety.
- Maintain and update safety documentation and records accurately and consistently.
What Skills You Need
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Health and Safety position, preferably within the construction sector and multi-site operations.
- Relevant Health & Safety certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
- In-depth knowledge of current health & safety legislation, best practices, and industry standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence, train, and engage teams in fostering a positive, safety-focused culture.
