About Your New Job

As the Health and Safety Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust health and safety compliance at sites located in Ennis and surrounding areas. You will:

  • Lead the enforcement of health and safety practices and compliance across multiple project sites.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, implement corrective actions, and provide follow-up reports to management.
  • Collaborate with site teams, project managers, subcontractors, and staff to promote proactive safety initiatives and uplift the culture of safety.
  • Maintain and update safety documentation and records accurately and consistently.

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Health and Safety position, preferably within the construction sector and multi-site operations.
  • Relevant Health & Safety certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
  • In-depth knowledge of current health & safety legislation, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence, train, and engage teams in fostering a positive, safety-focused culture.
