About Your New Job

  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety Manager and leadership team to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and daily safety inspections, implementing corrective actions to minimise workplace risks.
  • Support ISO 45001 compliance by maintaining documentation, preparing for audits, and ensuring all records are audit-ready.
  • Coordinate health and safety training, site inductions, fire drills, toolbox talks, and maintain training records and competency matrices.
  • Prepare reports, coordinate safety committee and departmental meetings, track action items, and provide administrative support for ongoing health and safety initiatives.

What Skills You Need

  • Third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (or related discipline) with at least 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety Officer role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and ISO standards, including ISO 45001, with a proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
