About Your New Job
As the Health and Safety Manager, you will take full ownership of all H&S activities at the site, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. Your core responsibilities will include:
· Leading health and safety initiatives, driving awareness, engagement, and continuous improvement across the workforce.
· Conducting regular safety audits, hazard inspections, accident investigations, and developing accident prevention programmes.
· Managing compliance with statutory health and safety requirements, ISO 45001 standards, and company safety policies.
· Designing, coordinating, and delivering safety training programs, toolbox talks, and inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
What Skills You Need
· Degree or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in H&S management, preferably in construction materials, quarrying, or heavy industry.
· Experience in ISO 45001 implementation and auditing, with strong knowledge of industrial processes and safety legislation.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide teams while maintaining a safe working environment.
