About Your New Job

• As Head of Health, Safety and Environment, you will lead the HSE Department and join the People Leadership team, where your input will directly influence strategic decisions and organisational development.
• You will develop and implement a group-wide Health, Safety & Environment strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives and fostering a top-tier safety culture.
• You will oversee the effective operation and continual improvement of the Integrated HS&E Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, all regulatory requirements, and promoting staff wellbeing.
• You will manage resources and budgets to achieve agreed HSE goals, coordinate audit processes, and prepare critical reports for executive and board-level review.
• You will engage with external regulatory bodies and stakeholders, lead investigations, and drive compliance and best practice throughout the organisation.

What Skills You Need

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Health & Safety leadership, ideally within energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing integrated HSE systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with outstanding communication and influencing skills.
• Strategic thinker with a track record in compliance assurance, safety culture transformation, and change leadership.
