About Your New Job
As Head of Finance Strategy, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and act as a trusted strategic adviser to the CFO, CEO and Executive Committee. You’ll connect enterprise strategy, financial planning and executive decision-making, with a particular focus on shaping the organisation’s strategy for 2027–2029.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring someone who can confidently engage with senior executives, boards and committees while also working through detailed financial analysis. You’ll provide constructive challenge, evaluate strategic initiatives, lead forecasting and scenario planning, and help ensure that investment and business decisions align with the organisation’s strategy, risk appetite, customer commitments and regulatory requirements.
What Skills You Need
- Significant senior leadership experience in finance, strategy, corporate development, consulting or a comparable role within a complex, regulated organisation, ideally with insurance or financial services experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the credibility to influence and constructively challenge stakeholders at board, committee, executive and team level.
- Strong technical finance expertise, including financial planning, forecasting, scenario modelling, investment appraisal, business cases, management information and performance analysis.
- Proven experience leading forward-thinking strategic initiatives and translating complex information into clear recommendations, decisions and measurable outcomes.
