About Your New Job

  • Preparing, reviewing, and delivering Group Annual Report and interim financial statements, ensuring full IFRS compliance and regulatory obligations are met.
  • Managing the relationship with auditors and coordinating audit activities across all subsidiaries.
  • Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts, embedding new IFRS standards, and standardising governance across the Group.
  • Leading month-end close for all Group entities and delivering timely, insightful consolidated management accounts.
  • Owning the Group’s financial consolidation systems (SAP BPC), ensuring system integrity and driving continuous improvement.
  • Championing process simplification, automation, and best practice PLC internal controls.
  • Partnering with Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, FP&A, and Divisional teams to enhance financial control and risk management.
  • Supporting M&A strategy, including due diligence, acquisition accounting, and integrating new businesses into reporting frameworks.
  • Leading, developing, and mentoring a high-performing Group Reporting team, promoting collaboration and a strong team culture.
  • Overseeing Group insurance programmes and leading finance transformation initiatives as required.

What Skills You Need

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA (Big 4), with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a Group team within a PLC environment.
  • Deep technical expertise in IFRS, consolidation, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Proven track record managing complex audits, statutory reporting, and financial controls in a multinational context.
  • Advanced system capability; experience with SAP or similar consolidation tools is highly desirable.
  • Confident communicator, able to turn technical details into clear business insights.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team development and cross-functional influence.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, action-oriented, and relentless about excellence.
