They are now seeking a reliable General Operative to join their team on a long-term basis, working on a busy site in Piltown, Co. Kilkenny.
About Your New Job
As a General Operative, you will play a key role in supporting daily site operations and ensuring work progresses efficiently and safely.
The role will involve travelling from the company depot to the site each day, with a company vehicle provided where applicable. A full driving licence is essential for this position.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting tradespeople and site management with daily construction activities.
- Carrying out general labouring duties including moving materials, waterworks maintenance
- Travelling to and from the depot and site as required.
- Supporting groundworks and other on-site tasks as required.
- Operating basic tools and equipment where required (training provided if necessary).
- Adhering strictly to all site safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience working as a General Operative or Labourer, ideally within construction or infrastructure.
- A valid Safe Pass (essential).
- Manual Handling certification (essential).
- A full, valid driving licence (essential).
- The ability to drive to and from the depot and site as required.
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices on-site.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
