General Operative
Location: Cork
Salary: €35,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join a well-established electrical supply company based in Cork. This is a hands-on role involving a mixture of warehouse duties, order preparation and wire/cable cutting.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Cutting electrical wire and cable to required measurements
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Loading and unloading stock
- Organising and maintaining stock within the warehouse
- Ensuring all orders are prepared accurately and on time
- Carrying out general warehouse and housekeeping duties
- Following all company health and safety procedures
- Assisting colleagues with other general operative duties as required
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, general operative or similar experience would be an advantage
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, physical environment
- Good attention to detail, particularly when measuring and cutting wire
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Full driving licence and own car are essential
- Ability to commute reliably to the Cork location
