Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - 12 Month Contract With Possible Extension
This is a unique fractional CFO opportunity for a senior finance professional who combines deep experience in construction and project finance with the commercial acumen to navigate a complex, multi-stakeholder capital structure.
The role will suit an experienced CFO or Finance Director who has operated at a senior level in construction, infrastructure, or real estate development, and who is comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment alongside an experienced executive team and Board.
About Your New Job
- As the Fractional CFO (3 days per week, hybrid, Dublin), you will be the financial architect guiding a large-scale project from capital raise through construction to operational launch.
- Lead all aspects of capital raising and corporate finance—structuring and negotiating funding (debt, equity, hybrid), producing investor materials, and managing financial due diligence/data rooms.
- Oversee project finance during construction, including loan arrangements, cost control, draw down schedules, and financial risk management.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models, scenario analysis, and project forecasts for Board and investor engagement.
- Advise on tax structures, compliance, and group reporting while scaling the finance function and establishing robust internal controls as the business grows.
What Skills You Need
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience at CFO or Finance Director level.
- Extensive experience in construction, infrastructure, or real estate development finance (major project cycle from funding through completion).
- History of successful capital raising (debt and equity), project finance agreements, and managing external funding partners.
- Advanced financial modelling abilities and strong knowledge of Irish tax, VAT, and company structuring.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to present financials to Boards, investors, and non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfort working in high-growth, entrepreneurial, and lean teams.
