Construction Project Manager – North Dublin

The Work

As Construction Project Manager, you will take full ownership of a large-scale residential development in North Dublin, comprising a mix of 2 and 3-bedroom apartment units. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will lead the project from construction stage through to completion, ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

  • Lead and manage all stages of project delivery, from project commencement to handover.
  • Develop, manage and track detailed project programmes, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Oversee a large site team of up to 100 people, including direct staff and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements at all times.
  • Monitor budgets, control costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost impacts.
  • Review and manage technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Carry out regular site inspections and progress reviews to confirm work is completed to programme, specification and quality expectations.
  • Provide clear, timely project updates and reports to senior management.

The Person

The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who enjoys leading large site teams and delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment. You are commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project programming and commercial controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large site teams and multiple subcontractor packages.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, support and develop others.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with strong stakeholder and client management capability.
  • In-depth understanding of current health and safety legislation and best practice on site.
  • Relevant third-level qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience using project management software such as MS Project, Procore or similar platforms is an advantage.
