About Your New Role as a Finishing Foreman

As a Finishing Foreman, you will have a pivotal role in overseeing all finishing activities on site, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. You’ll manage and coordinate subcontractors and trades, resolve on-site issues, and keep projects on track for timely completion within budget. Main duties include:

  • Supervise all finishing works, maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with the project manager, suppliers, and other team members for efficient project delivery.
  • Inspect work for compliance with specifications, and manage site records and progress reports.
  • Lead and guide the finishing team, monitor performance, and address any issues promptly.
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations and client expectations.

 

What Skills You Need

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in a Finishing Foreman, Site Foreman, or similar role.
  • Strong background in construction, especially in finishing works.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications.
  • Solid understanding of Irish construction site Health & Safety requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, trades, and site priorities.
  • High attention to detail and dedication to quality.
  • Proficient with IT and construction management systems.
  • Full Irish driving licence.
