About Your New Role as a Finishing Foreman
As a Finishing Foreman, you will have a pivotal role in overseeing all finishing activities on site, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. You’ll manage and coordinate subcontractors and trades, resolve on-site issues, and keep projects on track for timely completion within budget. Main duties include:
- Supervise all finishing works, maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with the project manager, suppliers, and other team members for efficient project delivery.
- Inspect work for compliance with specifications, and manage site records and progress reports.
- Lead and guide the finishing team, monitor performance, and address any issues promptly.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations and client expectations.
What Skills You Need
- 3–5+ years’ experience in a Finishing Foreman, Site Foreman, or similar role.
- Strong background in construction, especially in finishing works.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications.
- Solid understanding of Irish construction site Health & Safety requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, trades, and site priorities.
- High attention to detail and dedication to quality.
- Proficient with IT and construction management systems.
- Full Irish driving licence.
