Financial Controller role with a well known business based in Kilkenny city and part of a wider national group.
About Your New Job
- Prepare monthly management accounts to strict deadlines, including profit and loss statements, KPIs, balance sheet reconciliations and cash-flow forecasts.
- Lead the review and preparation of revenue and cost forecasts, identifying financial risks and commercial opportunities.
- Monitor departmental performance, including wages, gross profit and margins, and ensure department heads understand and achieve their financial KPIs.
- Prepare annual budgets, capital project costings and ad hoc financial reports for management review.
- Manage cash flow and ensure scheduled bank payments are completed accurately and on time.
- Oversee income auditing processes to ensure accuracy and prevent cash leakage.
- Maintain robust internal controls and prepare for annual audits and internal reviews.
- Use your commercial awareness to maximise profitability and contribute to key strategic decisions.
- Coach and support members of the Finance team.
What Skills You Need
- Qualified Accountant with 4+ years post qualified experience.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with the confidence to coach team members and work closely with senior stakeholders.
- Stamp 4 or EU Passport required.
What’s on Offer
- €80,000 - €85,000 plus benefits.
