Financial Controller – Hedge Funds | Dublin 2 | Up to €80,000

Location: Dublin 2 (Fully Office-Based)
Salary: Up to €80,000
Job Type: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and technically strong Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing investment business in Dublin 2. This is a unique chance to become one of the first 15 employees within the organisation and play a key role in building and developing the finance function during a significant growth phase.

We are seeking a qualified accountant with a strong hedge funds background, ideally combining experience gained within a Top 10 accounting firm and subsequent industry exposure within the hedge funds sector.

The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of the end-to-end accounting, reporting, and control environment across a group of entities operating in multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full accounting cycle across multiple legal entities
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements
  • Developing and maintaining robust financial controls and governance frameworks
  • Coordinating external audits and liaising with advisors across various jurisdictions
  • Supporting regulatory, statutory, and management reporting requirements
  • Driving process improvements and helping establish best-in-class finance operations as the business scales
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to support strategic growth initiatives

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience (PQE)
  • Trained within a Top 10 accounting firm
  • Strong hedge funds exposure gained in practice
  • Ideally additional experience working within the hedge funds industry
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge with strong US GAAP and IFRS experience
  • Proven financial reporting and control background
  • Experience working across multiple entities and jurisdictions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
